For all you celiacs and people sensitive to wheat, I'm pleased to share that Mario Batali now keeps two kinds of gluten-free pasta on hand at his restaurants. I planned on eating at Otto yesterday (http://glutenguide.blogspot.com/2007/...), but happened to stop in at Lupa late afternoon. I was finally able to eat pasta at his restaurant without a belly-ache, and it was wonderful. My boyfriend got a spelt chitarra with proscuttio and some green and I got a bucatini all' amitriciana with rice pasta. It was incredible, and the staff was so accomodating without making a big production of it. Just spreading the good word. Check it out if you can.
