Stopped in for a quick lunch at the bar. The bartender was really nice, efficient, and service was overall very friendly.
I loved the Bash Burger! A wonderful griddled Pat La Frieda patty served with a caramelized onion & bacon jam, pickles, American cheese, and special sauce (combination of mayo, ketchup, etc. a la Shake Shack), with two onion rings on top (because why not?), and typically a giant pile of fries (I abstained). The meat was of very high quality. Cooked to temperature. Nice sear. The patties are a bit aggressively seasoned. I didn't mind, but if you are sensitive to salt, you should definitely mention it. The char on the patty, plus the salt, and the sauce, really did remind me of Shake Shack.
The bacon and onion jam was awesome. The idea was apparently inspired by the chef's love for bacon and onion cheeseburgers, but his irritation at trying to get a little bit of both in each bite. Hence the mixture of chopped up bacon and caramelized onions, as a "jam," even though there's no fruit and no sugar in the topping. I thought this jam was genius!
I couldn't bring myself to order the white truffle burger (with truffle shavings and truffle aioli), but maybe next time.
