Do they exist? I guess I'm rather noise-sensitive, but I'm really tired of cutting nights out short because I can't stand the noise anymore. And I'm really tired of my friends looking at me laughing when we leave a place "So, Joanna, was that too loud for you?" OF COURSE IT WAS! We were shouting and couldn't hear each other!! I don't get it.

More specifically, I'm having dinner at Prune (1st and 1st) tonight and would love any recommendations for somewhere celebratory (which for me, tonight, means non-dive) to have a drink afterwords where I won't be in pain from all the pulsating music and voices echo-ing off hard surfaces . . . and, here's the catch, I'm in my 20s and prefer a younger crowd. Possible? I'd be happy w/wine bar or beer-bar as well.
Thanks,
Joanna
