BARBECUED SHRIMP ?

RICHARD | Mar 10, 2004 05:03 AM

I WILL BE VISITING NOLA FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TWO WKS.
MY BROTHER HAS BEEN RAVING ABOUT THE BARBEQUED SHRIMP HE HAD AT PASCAL'S MANALE 20 YRS AGO, " BEST SHRIMP IN THIS OR ANY OTHER LIFETIME." I HAVE READ POSTS THAT SAID THIS PLACE IS A LITTLE PAST IT'S PRIME AND IT DOESN"T SEEM TO BE MENTIONED VERY FREQUENTLY ON THIS BOARD AS A PLACE THAT SHOULDN'T BE MISSED. IF THATS TRUE WHERE ELSE CAN I HAVE BARBRCUED SHRIMP AND WHY DO THEY CALL IT BARBECUED SHRIMP IF ITS NOT BARBECUED?

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS FOR DISHES THAT SHOULD NOT BE MISSED? MY TASTES LEAN TOWARD SPICY CAJUN STYLE AND I AM LOOKING FOWARD TO TRYING MY FIRST ABITA WITH SOMETHING HOT AND SPICY.

ALSO DOES ANYONE KNOW WHICH RESTAURANT OFFERS 10 CENT MARTINIS AT LUNCH? I READ ABOUT IT ON THIS BOARD AND NOW I CAN'T FIND IT. WE ARE CELEBRATING MY 50TH BIRTHDAY AND I AM PLANNING ON HAVING AT LEAST .50 WORTH OF MARTINIS.
