I don't see much about this Basque place on the board, but I just wanted to report that we had a 2 wonderful meals here. The first was just a casual stop for pinxtos. Can't really say for sure what we had, but it was all delicious. Nice, friendly staff as well. Also had a regular sit-down meal here on our last night as it was close to our hotel. We were quite impressed. Sardines poached in olive oil and served table side; salted cod omelet; beef tartare; duck and a pastry dessert that had to be ordered at the start of the meal. It was all very tasty. Again, very friendly service. I definitely recommend it.
I realize they are part of a restaurant group, but it is definitely not a chain feeling at all. Hey, some of my favorite high end restaurants here in NYC are a part of restaurant groups. It is what it is.
