Someone asked about the menu at Banh Mi & Che Cali, since it isn't in English. Here it is, from memory... so it may not be in the right order and there might be one or two mistakes but this is mostly it.
Also you'll have to excuse my poor descriptions.
Dac Biet- The specialty, which for banh mi usually means a lot of things are in it, mostly cold colds.
Thit Nguoi- Similar to dac biet... different cold cuts.
Thit Nuong- BBQ pork strips (my favorite).
Bi- Little strings of dried pork.
Cha Lua- Slices of greyish stuff that is made from ground pork that is pressed and steamed.
Xiu Mai- Meatball.
Ca Moi- Sardine.
Nem Chua- This is the most interesting one, as a lot of places don't have this for banh mi. It is made from pickled and pressed raw pork, and can be a little wild... usually I can handle it in only small amounts.
I think that's it. If I left any off or confused one with something else, it should be either Xa Xiu (another kind of bbq pork), or some type of cold cut.
This refers to the Brookhurst location in Garden Grove... I'm not sure how much the menus differ at the other ones. Also I don't know about the Che (dessert) menu, since I'm not so into that.
Anyway, I encourage people who only go to Lee's to try this place and also Saigon Bakery, which are both of different styles and very good.
