Bakery Crawl -- Mostly looking in East Bay

foodnut | Mar 23, 2006 04:02 PM

So Mr. Foodnut has decided that he'd like to have an entire day where he (we) eat nothing but pastry, cake, pie and the like.

(I think we're going to crave savory shortly after noon time, but will go along with the indulgence anyway.)

So, what would you include in the bakery crawl? And/or what would you recommend as stand outs for a particular place?

We're thinking mostly East Bay, but are open to stand outs in other locations. Open to Asian bakeries (maybe I can sneak in some dim sum along with the pastries!) Sit down or take out -- doesn't matter.

A partial list that I've thought of so far:

La Farine (gotta start the day w/those morning buns!)
Crixa
Sweet Adelines
Neldhams
Masses
Nabolom
Bread Garden
Katrina Rozelle
Market Hall Bakery

We'd probably be in a diabetic coma by the end of the day if we hit all these places, but we can narrow down after making a master list.
