I went to this restaurant with anticipation. I ate last week at Le Saigon on SM Blvd. I was against the war in Vietnam so I was prepared to like this place.
Accompanied by my beautiful girlfriend and her lovely Vietnamese friend (who knows Vietnamese food after having had the real stuff), we were looking forward to some pho (pronounced Fah?). We were disappointed by just about everything. (The rice was okay, but not any better than I can make in my fuzzy logic rice maker). The soup wasn't spicy enough and had three or four measley shrimp in it, the orange duck was kind of like lemon pie with rancid duck pieces in it, and the catfish hot pot (a special, but I'm not sure special what) was not thick enough. There were also a lot of bones in the catfish and we were not warned by the waitress (as opposed to the nice waiter at Le Saigon, who gave extensive instructions!). The beef dish (Luc Loc) was decent but had no vegetables as described on the menu (unless you consider some onion pieces vegetables).
Le Saigon is much better and less than half the price.
