Finally made it to Babita last night for the first time. All I can say is WOW!!! We all agreed this was some of the most unique and delicious food we've had in some time.
To start we shared a bunch of appetizers, including red snapper ceviche, calamari, sauteed mushrooms, fresh guacomole, and there was a sorbet topped with sort of a ceviche (don't remember exactly what was in this but it was damn good).
For the main course I had the NY steak & shrimp with pumpkin seed & cilantro sauce. Others had the chiles en nogada (which is chiles stuffed with ground beef & goat cheese topped with walnut sauce & pomegranite), lamb shank, chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. Everything was fantastic!
She said there is about one more month left to get the pomegranite dish before the season ends.
We will definitely be back to this place soon and often.
Dinner for 4 with about 6 beers, apps & entrees (no room for dessert) about $190 incl tax & tip.
