I am a Yankee coming to town with a bunch of fellow Northerners and we are dead set on having an authentic Austin experience. I have been given the task of setting up brunch for a group of about 15 people. I've spent a good amount of time pouring over the Austin board for recommendations. We're staying at the W Hotel on Lavaca St. The places that seem to get the most love on this board for brunch are Polvo's, Fonda San Miguel, Lambert's and Green Pastures. Any I missed? What's the best brunch option for a group of 15 guys on a bachelor party? We are planning to head to Salt Lick for BBQ one night. I (or at least some of my compatriots) wouldn't want to do a BBQ brunch and a BBQ dinner on the same day. In the event they want to have the brunch on the same day as the Salt Lick dinner, what's our best brunch option? Feel free to recommend your #1 brunch rec and your #1 non-BBQ brunch rec.
Many thanks! I look forward to my first visit to your fine city.
