Friends are coming in from out of town to attend Blue Man Group, on Lafayette Street (near 8th Street, Astor place). They would like a meal, at around 3pm on a Saturday afternoon.
They don't come to New York much, so it would be great if anyone can recommend a fun restaurant (probably will have a drink or two) yet with good food, moderately priced. It doesn't have to be too sophisticated, yet should have a nice cheery ambiance They are a group of 4 in their 20's with a set of parents.
Walking distance to Blue Man is preferable, since their time is limited, and the Village would be a good choice anyway. I just don't have a clue where to send them. I am not sure what cuisine they like. It is probably safest to recommend places that are not overly exotic, yet all recommendations will be appreciated. Thank you!!!
