I've been really into baking real sweet potato pie- that would be baking my own garnet yams and mashing them myself. I have also been really into Asian (purple on the outside/yellow on the inside) yams with seared (hopefully nonradioactive) tuna on the side. I was wondering if I could bake that same sweet potato pie, substituting Asian yam for garnet? Seems like a great idea, but have never actually tried it. Have you?
