Following up on an older post <http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/603319> I'm looking for any new suggestions or updates. My constraints are a little tight: Monday late lunch in the Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, or OC airport areas. Unfortunately Anaheim, Garden Grove, and other chow-deep parts of Orange County are too far for me this time.
My leading contender is to go back to Santouka ramen in Mitsuwa in Costa Mesa. I'd jump at trying Taiwanese beef noodle soup, stir-fried dao xiao mian (knife-shaved noodles), hand-pulled noodles, pad kee mao, or other types of handmade noodles at someplace I haven't tried -- but Santouka is a happy back-up. Where do you recommend? Thanks very much.
