artisan WHOLE grain bread in 5 Cities?

toodie jane | Nov 7, 2005 11:08 AM

Ok local hounds,
where can I get WHOLE grain (no white flour) artisan bread in the 5-Cities or Santa Maria area? There must be some good bakers out there....Trader Joes does have a "whole grain" bread, but read the fine print and it's got lots of white flour (read 'wheat flour')
For dietary reasons, I'm supposed to avoid refined white flour and rice. I miss chewy artisan breads! I'm in SLO several times a week for work, so I could go to Utopia (don't care for HOB) but they don't always have a whole grain bread available. I like the great Italian bread at Guiseppi's take-out place, but it's white. I do most of my grocery shopping in AG and would love to pick up some good bread there.
Thanks!
TJ
