art and capital q

checked out the third thursday gallery nite in chinatown last nite, but only after having texas smoked beef brisket with the hot sauce, collard greens, mashed potatoes and a dos equis at Capital Q (indulging both the high/low culture cravings). had the combo "plate" (meat and 2 sides), not to be confused with the chinese cowboy "platter" (which is essentially meat on top of rice). i am determined to go through their entire meat menu with different combinations of sides. nb: there's even something for vegetarians: portobello mushrooms and smoked baked potatoes and the various sides. and a website: www.capitalqbbq.com. if you haven't been, this is a chowhound must! (oh, the galleries were good too)
