Yesterday, I went to the Hawaii market at Del Mar and Valley in the SGV - and I saw armadillo in the freezer case. First, I have to say that I love seeing something I have NEVER seen before--and in suburban LA!
But, several questions pop to mind:
-who eats this?
-what restaurants serve it and how is it prepared? (LA connection)
-since this seemed to be a predominantly an asian market and armadillos seem to be from the Americas, how did any asian group develop a taste for the stuff?
