The antipasti at Nonna really is very good

Thanks to whomever recommended it last week. We went Saturday night and totally enjoyed Nonna on 85th and Columbus. Didn't stuff ourselves, just had a salad, the large house antipasti and some grilled octopus. The antipasti was very good (and large), more than enough for two -- two meats, two cheeses, lots of various grilled and marinated vegetables plus calamari and shrimp. The octopus could have been better. I like it more when it's large tentacles cut up into pieces instead of a bunch of whole baby octopi (octopusses?), which is what this was.

One of the owners came by just to tell us how the antipasti is their specialty and how it's all made fresh daily. Also enjoyed the blood orange sorbet. And when the waiter took over five minutes to bring a second beer they wound up comping us for both beers even though we never complained.

We'll by tring Nonna again. But the word is definitely out on this place. We got seated at 7 PM with no reservation, but by the time we left there was a line.
