Antico Forno-great; Legal-NOT! (Long)

We have returned from our Valentine's Weekend in Boston. Since Sat. nite was Valentine's night, we opted for Legal Sea Foods (Long Wharf), as suggested, since it wasn't a "valentine" type place. WRONG! It was booked for the entire night and they sent us away!
As everywhere else was booked/crowded, we ended up with a very nice bowl of chowder and some fish at...get ready...Durgin Park!! We were escorted to the 3rd floor, where we were brought to a lovely table for 2 at the window. Candles & flowers. Wonderful. Food was more than passable, especially mussels in garlic sauce and the chowder.
Sunday nite we ended up (with reservations) at Antico Forno. Both of us cannot wait to go back! The waitstaff was very personable, the house red was delicious, and the food fantastic! I opted for their vegetable lasagne (delicately sliced zuchini one one layer, basil leaves on another, and eggplant on a third...all so thinly sliced. Topped with tomato and smoked mozzarella. My partner chose a Buccatelli with claims, mussels, shrimp and calamari. All baked in parchment paper in the brick oven. We are still talking about the meal. Dessert was Mike's Pastry.
One lunch we went to Bova's. I had read so many good reviews about their sandwiches...NOT! Who ever heard of ordering a hero with proscuitto, fresh mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes and having the girl look at you like you're crazy! The best they could come up with was prosciutto and swiss! Swiss??? My partner got their Italian sub...when asked if he'd like oil and vinegar and tomato, lettuce, onion...he answered "yes" to all...but got none of the above! Wasn't the girl, as we each had a different one!
Maybe others have had better luck?
