We decided to enjoy our anniversary this evening at Bistro 44 in Toms River & as always it was delightful & delicious......first new thing I noticed was a big banner hanging out front that said "CHOPPED CHAMPION" featured on Food TV....if you dont know a few weeks ago Chef Erik won the Chopped battle on that show & won $10,000 !
Now back to dinner.....
We started with appetizers, Seafood Risotto (special) was creamy with shrimps & scallops the tiny chopped asparagus gave it a nice crunch also....my wife ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese as an appetizer which really was delicious best I ever had anywhere. For our mains we had the Braised Short ribs over herbed grits the meat was so tender and the demi glace sauce was superb, we also ordered the Coq au Vin OMG its was superb meat so tender with pearl onions and a delicious sauce that really made you want to lick the plate :)
Once again Chef Erik is to be saluted..... If you haven't been to Bistro 44 you should you'll enjoy it for sure.
