Amuse Cafe - my review

OK, I was totally terrified going here tonight with our cousins visiting from SF, considering the mostly terrible reviews they've gotten lately. We were pleasantly surprised by a great meal and good service.

We had the mussels (great), the ribs (best), calamari salad (fair) and lentil hummus (ok) to start. I had the Ground Rib-Eye Burger with cabrales which was very flavorful. My husband had the trout which he adored. Cousin 1 had the Chicken and Brie sandwich and Cousin 2 had a skirt steat that was nicely cooked and flavorful. The desserts were ok, we just had some sorbet and cookies.

The service was mostly good, our waiter was a bit on the flakey side, when he came to our table he just stood there waiting for us to read his mind.

The place is comfortable, luckly it was not crowded. We don't drink so the no booze thing wasn't a problem. I'd definately go back.
