Amsterdam Falafel --> Another Rave

I left DC a year and a half ago, having lived in AdMo for half of that time. I love AdMo...everything about it (yes, everything) and it pained me to leave it. I now live in SF, CA and love everything about my NEW neighborhood.

But AdMo had to one up my new 'hood with the Amsterdam Falafel. All I can say is it is the best I've had outside of Israel. Also, the fact that they have Dutch mayo for the fries is an AWESOME touch.

My only complaint is that the size of the fries compared to the price isn't that great ($3.50 for smallish order), especially considering what you get when you buy the falafel. (Under $5 for 5-6 falafel and all you can stuff in a pita toppings.) Also, plates would be nice...too much sauce = too drippy = paper doesn't hold it all in. (Maybe that is a lesson for me though!)

The owner (??) said they had been open for 31 days. And they are staying open late enough to rival Pizza Mart, so at least there are better options now than giant, unweildy slices.

I thought everything was great...just what the 'hood needed. If only they could make an arrangement with the folks next door for a falafel AND beer THAT would be awesome!

All in all it was a great weekend as normal and I am glad to have found one more gem in AdMos repertoire.
