I don't know if it is related to the one in North Hollywood. It is located in a particularly dingy strip mall on Mason just below Lassen. Upon entering, you're assaulted by the noise of the jukebox competing with the two widescreen T.V.'s and cheering sports fans.
But if you can get past this, man- that is some delicious food. We had something called the Tiger Cry that was a marinated steak sliced and served with a chili sauce that was utterly delicious. Even better was the salt chili crab, most of which you eat shell and all. Various Thai salads were good too. There isn't much on the menu for vegetarians, but they made my daughter a fried tofu curry which she loved.
The lunch menu is ordinary - solid food at a good price, but for the really good stuff you have to come for dinner. Be prepared for spicy. It's authentic and not dumbed down. There were a couple of dishes the waitress warned us off, and even so, we were constantly reaching for the water glasses. This place has definitely moved in to my top slot for west valley Asian.
