I just had to write this. When two of my brother-in-laws moved near Park Slope they started ordering Fresh Mozzarella pies from Laura's. Being that we are all pizza snobs from Staten Island (trust me, we exist) at first I thought the sauce was a bit too garlicky and sweet. Fast forward four years and I actually make a pilgrimage from St. George to Laura's. The crust is perfect, the fresh mozzarella and sauce complement each other, it is just that good. Here's the catch, the large pie can only be purchased as a delivery or pick up, it is a full service italian restaurant, and will only allow you to order an individual version of the pie for around $7, if you need a fix you need to live nearby or do what my family and I do, eat in the car like savages. The large fresh mozzarella pie is $10.00, this in itself rare, especially in park slope, especially for a true napolitano pie. I hope I didn't spill the beans, but I just had to share.

PS: if in Staten Island, skip Goodfellas, go to Nunzios on Hylan Blvd as well as Joe and Pats on Forest Avenue. Not Fresh Mozz pies but amazing nonetheless. I lament to say that the best true Napolitano pie on the island is no longer around, Villa Cafe on Hylan Blvd. closed about a year ago.
