My parents went to a Pappadeaux in Austin last week and proclaimed they had oysters like they hadn't tasted in 20 years. Bright, almost "crisp" they were so plump and fresh, and great flavor.
I concur - a visit in Ft. Worth this week secured *amazing* oysters. Honestly they were best Gulf oysters I've ever had (and I've had my share). A couple were too big for me, but still just wonderful.
I just figured I'd let you know in case you're in the mood, hopefully the timing is still right.
