Thanks to Seth for the recommendation for Alis Roti. I loved it. It is cheap, delicious, and fun. All the ingredients taste fresh. The West Indian gentleman who rolls out the bread, prepares the dishes, and monitors the griddle is welcoming, knowledgeable, and very proud of the food -- as he should be. I had the shrimp in my roti with potatoes, the pepper spices (various condiments including shredded cucumber and apple), and chick peas and bites of roti with the goat and stewed chicken. Apparently the Roslindale location is the more laid back than the Mattapan one.
