between 2nd and 3rd Avenue. This place gets a lot of good posts here, and I tried it a while ago and liked it. Went back last week and had a mixed experience. The cacik (yogurt sauce) appetizer was mediocre. Bread was nice and warm. Stuffed grape leaves were unexciting.
The most delicious part of the meal was manti - balls of tender, tasty dough around lamb, in a dish with lots of yogurt and subtle tomato sauces and flavors. It was delicious.
The biggest disappointment was the lahmacun, Turkish pizza, which I seem to remember liking last time, but was bland this time.
Anyone have any recommendations for other dishes here? I'm beginning to think that this is one of those places where it's best to stick with certain dishes rather than others.
