Thanks to Chowhound Tenacity for bringing my attention to Vitamin Cottage in another thread a few months ago. I finally went there and it's such a great store, an excellent, cheaper and locally-owned alternative to Whole Foods. It doesn't have the same huge inventory, especially of fruits and vegetables, but the overall selection is pretty wide and thoughtfully put together. Some things that were considerably cheaper than at WF: some of the produce, frozen organic grass-fed ground beef, organic milk and yogurt, Tom's toothpaste, salsas and other condiments, and many of the vitamins and other supplements. I'd been there years ago, and it wasn't anything like it is now, so if you shop for natural/health-foody products, it's definitely worth a look.
