Aladdin's Palace

Had lunch at this place today. Ordered the meat platter which comes with salad, hummus, chicken or beef shwarma, falafel, baba ganoush, and two pitas plus some garnishes on the side (garlic sauce, pickled turnip, and hot peppers).

For $6.95, you get ALOT!

Everything was quite fresh, but the chicken shwarma was a little dry even with the sauce to cover it up. I still prefer the shwarma at Farhat (northwest corner of Warden and Lawrence).

I was especially pleased with the perfectly round balls of falafel and the strong homemade garlic sauce.

If you visit this place, prefer to deal with skimpy parking as it is in a small strip mall along with a busy Asian buffet and hockey rink.

Aladdin's Palace is at 3560 Victoria Park Ave, south of Steeles, on the west side.
