Agra review - Silver Lake Indian

Chowpatty | Apr 25, 2005 05:19 PM

Finally made it to Agra Sunday night -- I thought it was pretty good, although of course it wasn't the amazing, imaginative, cheap, straight-out-of-Artesia and London place we all dream of.
We had the mixed balti with chicken, lamb and mushrooms -- balti dishes are rich curryish stews cooked in a small wok. This was my favorite dish, I think. We also enjoyed the chicken tikka masala which had a nicely complex sauce. The sag paneer tasted a little too raw or something, and the shrimp vindaloo tasted only spicy, but nothing else. It's worth a try if you're tired of Electric Lotus and don't want to pay the big bucks at Tantra.
Bill was $60 for four, we brought our own beer.
