Whenever I cook with wine, I normally end up grabbing a random white or red wine and im done with it.I understand that its recommended that you should only cook with a wine that you would drink but I dont really drink wine or care for it much. When I first started cooking with wine in high school, I would often be really lost at the wine store. So many different types from Cote de Rhones to Sauvignon Blanc. Now I just read the back of the bottles for the tasting notes in order to pair it with my dish or ask someone for assistance. I think understanding wine pairings would hasten my trips to the wine store. Any advice?
