For a few years we'd been making annual Vegas trips but missed a round last year. We'll be coming back next month. We've almost always gone to L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon (though my last experience was not quite as good as the first few visits), I fell in love with Aburiya Raku last trip (went twice on a 4 day trip, which I never do), and will definitely do Jose Andres' "e" if we can get in (I went to minibar a few years ago and really enjoyed it).
Lotus of Siam and Bouchon are also favorites and are already in contention for rounding out our 4th night. Of course LOS is also a lunch option. (Unfortunately Bouchon brunch is not a possibility as we won't be in town for a weekend). We will likely also try to work in China Poblano for a lunch.
There are a few things in particular I'd love some help on ->
(1) One more dinner option. On or off strip, price not necessarily an object, but not looking for ultra-high end unless it's really exceptional. I'll preemptively strike from the list (1) Jaleo (already been to the DC one a few tiems); (2) Scarpetta (have it here in Miami); (3) any steakhouses (yawn).
(2) Any advice on the kaiseki at Raku vs. regular menu? They did not offer that when we last visited; not finding a ton of info on the board.
(3) Lunch suggestions? I found a good relatively recent thread on "ethnic" options but any suggestions are welcome.
(4) Good baked goods. Just a simple, perfect croissant for breakfast. Thoughts? We'll be staying at the Cosmopolitan, proximity is a plus.
