I've read CH posts both pro and con about 25 Degrees for so long and FINALLY made it there a couple of days ago. I would have gone to Blue Palms Brewhouse which is not far away but as it was a couple of hours before they open I figured that it was time to try 25 Degrees.
First the good part. As per the servers rec, I ordered the 'number three - $12 mezzo secco jack / green chili / chipotle / avocado' and thought that it was really good. I ordered it rare which is how it was served, had a good beefy flavor and was hot and juicy just how I like it! Chipotle flavor was TOO subtle, I wish that it had more of a capsaicin kick but overall a tasty burger that makes me want to try the numbers one and two!
Now the downside. Their beer list just plain sucks!!! miller high life / amstel light / heinekin / stella artois / 25 degrees red ale / schneider weisse hefeweizen / gueiness
When I read the beer choices and grumbled the waiter said something along the lines of "...I know it's a short list but they are really good beers." Management needs to consult with Christina Perozzi or just look at the options at Blue Palms or even Lucky Devils both nearby! There are too many places, many that have opened recently in L.A. that serve upscale hamburgers AND good craft/imported beers. OK, I'm done.
