It started to arrive about two weeks ago.
Berkeley Bowl has the most extensive selection I've seen to date. Berkeley Farms is doing what I wish most companies would do ... selling small single-serve bottles of eggnog. Unfortunately it has HFCS. If I'm going to throw calorie-caution to the wind on my yearly cup of eggnog, it has to count and not be junk.
FoodMax is selling Hood eggnog which I haven't noticed before. There are two flavors - pumpkin and um, cookies or gingerbread or something like that. Again, HFCS.They also sell Southern Comfort refrigerated eggnog which Grocery Outlet usually has later in the season. ... another with HFCS.
In the liquor section, Safeway was selling non-refrigerated Pennsylvania Dutch eggnog from Holland. The problem it doesn't list all ingredients, only cream, rum, brandy, and blended whisky. They don't mention what type of sweetening they use . Eggs aren't even mentioned on the label Not finding much on the web about it. Asked on the General board
Anyway, if anyone has some good eggnog this year whether from the market or in a restaurant, please post.
