My mother and I will be spending one night in Vancover and 3 nights in Calgary and the wealth of restaurant choices has my head spinning.
The one day we will be in Vancouver, we'll be staying at the Fairmont Waterfront and will also probably spend part of the afternoon on Robson Street. We're looking for lunch and dinner suggestions.
The 3 days that we're in Calgary, we will be staying at the Marriott and are looking for dinner suggestions. Is Murietta's any good? Does Trader's Grill in the Marriott serve good food or is it typical hotel fare? Any other recs for downtown?
Neither my mother nor I are foodies and we're not looking for anything fancy. Here are our criteria:
Location- Reasonable walking distance from the respective hotels
Wardrobe- Casual to business casual
Price- Moderate($15-$20 per entree)
Cuisine- Seafood, French, Continental
I should add that if there is one restaurant in either city that we absolutely should try but is a little pricier or dressier, feel free to recommend it. We *are* considering at least one "splurge" meal. It is a vacation after all.
