Macarons Are the New Cupcakes

Here’s a lovely piece on French macarons from Estonian blogger Pille of Nami-Nami, who describes the creation of matcha macarons with dark chocolate ganache, lingonberry macarons with black currant buttercream, and plain macarons with plain buttercream.

Meanwhile in Minnesota, Heavy Table (which I edit) presents a Thai Iced Tea variation on the theme using tea concentrate, cinnamon, and cardamom.
