Whether you take your culture in the form of Gossip Girl or Masterpiece Theater, sustenance is paramount. So it seems fitting to pay homage to television, our ever-faithful friend, by updating your favorite TV dinners. We’ve taken three classics—Salisbury steak, meatloaf, and mac ’n’ cheese—and given them a face-lift. (But you still get cubed veggies, mashed potatoes, and a dessert.) All the recipes serve six to eight people, so invite some friends over, unfold your TV dinner trays, and enjoy. And, no, we didn’t test these to be frozen and rewarmed, but what you lose in convenience you more than gain in taste.
